Nick Rushworth (b. 2000) is a Manchester-based saxophonist and recent graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music. He is currently a scholarship holder on the RNCM Master’s programme, studying with Naomi Sullivan, Carl Raven and Valentine Michaud.
Equally at home in classical, jazz, and pop traditions, Nick performs widely as a soloist, chamber musician, and session player. He has appeared at major venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, and Bridgewater Hall, and has performed extensively across the UK and Europe.
Alongside performing, he is a dedicated educator with over five years’ teaching experience, working with students of all ages and levels, from beginners to conservatoire standard.
Nick aims to establish himself as a leading saxophonist, combining performance, teaching, and composition while bridging the worlds of classical, pop, and jazz. Outside of music, he is a qualified pilot and aviation enthusiast.
